IND vs SA ODI Series 2025: Kohli Leads India to 2-1 Triumph | Top Run-Getters

KL Rahul led India registered a 2-1 win over South Africa in the 3-match ODI series after handing the Proteas a crushing 9-wicket defeat in the series decider played at Visakhapatnam.

The Indian batting order looked in ominous touch all through the series as all the frontline chipped in with meaningful knocks. 

Spearheading the batting efforts were the experienced pair of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The stellar RoKo show did highlight India's impressive outing with the willow.

Virat Kohli led the run scoring charts with back to back tons while Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad made handy contributions. Maiden ODI tons from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad were indeed a pleasing sight for the Indian fans.

Virat Kohli - Virat Kohli was back at his vintage best, topping the run scoring charts, aggregating 302 runs at a staggering 151 avg .. Virat notched up back to back tons at Ranchi (135) and Raipur (102) and followed it up with a blistering unbeaten half century (65*) at Vizag. Kohli's ton powered India's challenging chase in the Ranchi opener. He was awarded the Player of the Series.

Rohit Sharma - The ‘Hitman’ made a meaningful contribution in India's series win over South Africa, scoring 146 runs with  2 fifties at Ranchi ( 57) and Vizag ( 75). Opening the innings with young Yashasvi Jaiswal, the experienced opener set the foundation for the team’s wins by providing the opening salvo.. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal- In Shubman Gill's absence, Yashasvi Jaiswal made his selection count by notching up his maiden ODI ton in India's series-clinching win at Visakhapatnam. After 2 failures at Ranchi and Raipur, the promising opener smashed a belligerent ton (116) to power India's run chase in the series decider at Vizag.

KL Rahul - Leading the Indian team in Shubman Gill's absence, KL Rahul did step up with the bat, aggregating 126 runs with 2 half tons( 60 and 66*) in as many innings. Batting in the middle order, the stand-in skipper did provide the impetus to India's innings and aced in his role at finishing the innings with a flourish in the ODIs played at Ranchi and Raipur .

Ruturaj Gaikwad - Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a swashbuckling ton (83 ball-105) in the 2nd ODI at Raipur to register his maiden ODI 100.
